the usual dinner at home with my family is no longer taken for granted ever since it has been drained from my school and also of the fact that i just embarked a new journey at my new work place..

managing time wasn't easy...especially my sleeping hours :(

this week was one of the most tedious week which i had to attend school for four days straight from monday to thursday..and Friday is sort of my free day after work! Finally! :DDD

well, i did gave my first choice to ask yq for dinner but he had to study for exams..

but i'm glad he had to do so...and i get to go home for dinner :) in fact, i rushed home by walking the fastest in my heels and walking up the escalator which i seldom do..

just then i realised how much i miss being at home, how i miss spending time with my family members..just by talking over dinner :)

Happiness can be something which is so easily achieved and yet something which people tend to take for granted without realising it.

just exactly a week ago...

i was packing my stuffs...

preparing the handover stuffs...

writing the farewell email...

it all brings me back to the very first time i stepped into the office for interview

how i stay over in the office till wee hours just to rush artwork to be send for printing

how my bosses celebrated my 21st

how we celebrated christmas at the pub and club

how we get free lunches/dinners from vendors

how i got transfer to another team for contract position instead of submitting time sheets to agency

how i got a permanent position which allows me to enjoy the organisation welfare

how i get to meet a bunch of wonderful peers and bosses

i always count myself blessed to have meet everyone along the way...

well, time flies..and opportunity comes along the way..

people have started to move on and i guess so should i..

whether i will be faced with more challenges or a more agressive culture like what most of the people had said...

i will put in my best :)

woke up at 8am with morning call by yq

i have got up for my morning run

washed up, changed and all set with my ipod shuffle

got to the park, did some warm up on the way there

started to run, at my usual pace

then i fell :(

with my palms, knees and elbow rubbed against the ground

till now i still didn't know how did it exactly happened

a uncle with bicycle stopped to see if i'm alright..

i got up, smiled at him and signalled to him that i'm fine

continued to jog then i found blood oozing out from my palms, my knees and my elbow

i made a u-turn, cross over the nearest bridge and jog my way back

on my way back, all i was thinking was

how am i going to write for my paper tomorrow?

can i rest my elbow on the table?

will it hurt to hold my pen?

when i got home, my lips got white and i had a stomach cramp

since young, my dad always drove us around for food...

it's never to restaurants or posh places but instead, to the little coffee shops or hawker centres, stalls by the small lanes..

camouflaged by the exterior and the pricing of the food stalls, one would never expect that the food are actually good food. Food which i would always yearn to go back again and again.

i'm always impressed by how he gets to know all where these places...

recently, i visited one of the place with yq which is the 飞飞云吞面 (fei fei wanton mee) located at joo chiat place, i purposely chose the old coffee shop just like the first time i knew about this place...

strange thing, the noodles doesn't taste as yums as did as compared to the past visits with my parents...not sure if it's change of the person cooking or what...it just doesn't taste the same...

then i realised, the noodle does taste the same to me...but...

actually it doesn't FEEL the same...

i love eating with my parents, i would still try to tag along on sunday for breakfast or for dinner with them...it is just a feeling that i can't exactly explain (and i'm actually smiling when i am writing this)

not sure if i have taken after my dad's genes..cos eunis once told me that whatever i'm eating, it always look yums even though it is just a bowl of normal handmade noodle..

that's exactly what my dad does! make the food look so tasty...

thanks dad! for bringing me around for food that looks common to the others but special to me :) i love you!

seriously, i'm super pissed off..

even if i have to be the bad guy to say those nasty things..

i think it's time for the 2 of them to wake up their bloody minds and really start do hand-ons parenting rather than just going for parenting classes!

so what if you are busy? with church meetings? tennis? soccer with friends? wtf!? you don't even have time to look after your sons' homework and go through their bags..

do you guys even care? i feel sorry for your sons..

i was shocked when i have to sign off for your son's consent form to the library today..does that make sense? are you even aware? oh pls, they are your sons...not mine.

stop taking things for granted, stop treating my mum like a maid, the word "sorry" doesn't help to take care of your sons, a maid do.

start managing your time rather than spending time looking for updates on fb, i suggest that you should delete your fb account and use the time to focus on your sons' wellbeing.

please tell everyone what parenting classes you guys went to, and the rest of us should shun from it. simply useless.

in 2010, i'm am finally pursuing my studies...and becoming a part time student for 2 years..

i know i know..it's not gonna be easy (well, that's what everyone said)

just imagine..

- going for lectures after work

- making sure that i understand what was taught in lectures

- finish my assignments on time

- pass exams with good grades

- will have to "burn midnight oil"

- getting to know new friends (oh, that's easy :)

ok, and the most torturing part, that is...

- going back home from school (loooooooooong journey)

regardless of what, that's what i have decided on and will make sure i make good use of these 2 years to gain some good knowledge...and finally a paper.

some things which i am thankful of...

- my parents, for providing me what i need most for my studies ($ in advanced) and believing me that i will complete it and make them proud

- my love, for being the "spur" to get me going for it

- my boss, for giving me time off when i have classes in the evening

- my colleagues & friends, for being so "pushy" towards my studies and making sure that i apply for it year after year

after rachael showed us her nails :)

they are really easy to play with (surprisely!) cos i ever bought similar type from watsons (brand: incoco) and apparently not as user-friendly as this

a set of the nail patch cost $19 and i like this alot cos it's not messy and don't stink at all :)

plus i don't have to wait for it to dry!!!

found this mee sua packet at city square ntuc, can feed up to 6 pax

it is separated into 2 packs, each can cook for 3 pax

well...for my case, it only fed 2 pax (1 unit for me and 2 units for yq)

tried to pair it with this pork ball which my mum got from market...i preferred 舞狮牌 meatballs...more tasty...these tasted like siew mai but in ball forms (taiwan style) :(

yeah! below was the end product! and of cos the chilli, chinese parsley, vinegar, meatballs are not included in the packaging of the mee sua..

i know it's meant to be a surprse dinner where you guys will suddenly appeared to wish me happy birthday...but the lady who brought us (only me & yq) in said: " 7 person, this way please." and i was brought into this room who could accomodate 8 person...wahahaha

yq was supposed to show me this new episode of the big bang theory from his netbook while waiting for the rest to arrive and this was my biggest surprise ever. the most touching one...

fang fang who is supposed to be talking to merchant and was late for meeting came in with my birthday cake! was super busy the entire week cos have to most of my stuffs done before i go for my one-week block leave and just rushed for meeting and didn't have the slightest sixth sense that this is happening...even thou' we always celebrates teammates bday during meetings! it was totally off my mind plus my bday falls like a week+ later during my block leave..

even thou' we had chicken rice an hour + ago, we are still hungry for these!!

i just couldn't resist from buying...they are calling my name!!

bei and i reserved our iphone 3gs to get on the launch event and she was totally right...we shouldn't have gone on the first day...we queued, waited, queued again, waited again...we didn't know it would be like dat...

we waited for more than 4 hours , we did the count down, saw glen ong, felicia chin, joanne peh, pierre png, mr brown, the m1 guy from the commercial (queuing too! wahahaha), saw small fireworks and live band...

we really couldn't decide on the colours even till the minute when we have reached our counter to make the purchase...(oh yes, we have been asking each other this question during this 4 hours plus)

we reserved both to be black, but after that we start to "switch on" our fickle-minds and starting thinking again...

yq said lucky there is only 2 colours, can't imagine if there were more...

we gotten one black (myself) and one white (bei) in the end :)

i don't know if it's worth it anot...but i would definitely love to skip the Queue and Waiting...

i was wondering why i have not receive any letter from unisim regarding the payment for the course starting in July...

apparently, they are supposed to send to me in early March to pay the deposit...

i called up today and they said because i didn't pay the deposit (cos i didn't receive the letter! duh!), they assumed that i declined their offer and now the july intake if FULL!

i'm super fed up!!!

i'm using the eyelash serum which fang fang introduce to me and also patiently waiting for my lashes to grow...only after days of applying already can notice that they are growing...and they got thicker...

shan was right...to prevent my eyelids from getting botak, i'm letting my them to rest...

tried to make a last min. appt with vivien but her schedule was too tight...

so i DIY at home by soaking them with olive oil first then slowly removing all of them...i gave them a "trim" even...

actually it's my itchy fingers lah...it's still looks ok after 2 weeks and should go touch up to make them last even longer...but i couldn't stand not able to wash my eyes properly...thou' i love the effect of the extension (helps me to "open" my eyes) but when they start to slowly drop off...it's really unsightful...

so probably the next time i'll just use falsies :)

#1 - this were the first pair i done

done at angel xin beauty and was just like putting on falsies...it's quite hard and it hurt when the girl was doing, it hurt when i blink, it hurt when i slp...

it scares the hell out of me when i first open my eyes and saw this... i was thinking to myself, "Not natural what..." then i ask the girl, "is this the natural type?" and she said "Yes."

the lady who did for me was kind of rough, when she pull out the tape under neath my eyes, she didn't even warn me and pull it off like nobody's business...i gave out a loud "OUCH!"

i have to agree that this pair look nice and it gave the "Wow" effect...but...not the type i wanted...probably if it didn't hurt so much, i wouldn't mind having it till it drop...

and yes, i cried on the 2nd day and it gave me so much pain that i can't wait to take it off...

i found a lady recommended from forum and immediately contacted her...she was really nice to squeeze me into her busy slots and cos i told her my eyes hurt alot...she said if will be very difficult to remove them cos i just had them for a day...BUT, if were to remove them even later...my eyelids could turn out to be botak!!!

i rushed down by cab to her shop (min's beauty) at chinatown point

got them removed and yes, she was right...it was pain but i can't wait for them to get off my eyelids and lucky she's really very gentle and nice to keep asking if my eyes sting or anything...

she then helped me to do a new set of lashes...the strand by strand type for the natural effect i wanted...

i didn't want something too dramatic cos i need them to look normal for everyday work...

and the scaredy cat me chose the shortest lashes mixing mostly 8mm + a lil' of 9mm

i think they can go up to 11mm if i rem correctly...

i dropped one of the lash today...saw it on my documents, not sure if there's anymore elsewhere...but i think it still look ok to me...

and sure enuff, i have gotten everyone's attention at work and a pair of big swollen eyes.

i cried for something stupid...my 1st eyelash extensions...cos i felt hurt after listening to someone's comment and blah blah blah....

not intending to say who, cos annie said she would beat that person up for whoever has said it...

she is always so sweet...i'm so scare that she will also cry...

fang yi managed to make me laugh the most...she threaten to make me swallow the 7 lil' crystal balls on my table if i still do not stop crying...cos everyone keep asking her what happen...

ying ying jie jie send me a super long sms to comfort me...but i almost start to cry again when i finish reading it...thanks for the encouragement!

meimei had to help me get my water from pantry so that i can avoid the long aisle where there will be many pairs of eyes and most importantly, to avoid talkative pantry auntie! thanks mei!

my lady boss was nice enuff to ask if i was alright and offered to give me timeoff (which no one should know, so hush hush~), thanks lao ban niang!

i removed my 1st eyelash extensions...cos they ain't the type i want plus they hurt so much after my 2 hours of crying...i had their removed at somewhere else plus do a new set. This time round the type i want, Natural-looking lashes!

if you have noticed...i have these brown stains on my 2 front teeth since young...

when i was young, my uncle would even use those green scrubs (for washing woks or plates) with some teeth whitening powder and try to clean away the stains...

but that didn't help...

and i've seen a few dentists but they didn't gave me much or should i say...only expensive/painful solution...

some said they are stains for inside the teeth...if i do whitening on the surface, it would only make the stains more obvious...

i have sort of given up on hopes..

until i tagged along with fang fang for her dental appointment...

i followed her in and after the dentist was done with her teeth...i asked about my problem...and he said, "That's easy!"

and i had the stains removed in 20 mins!

the dentist said that the stains was formed back in the time when i lost my milk teeth...anyway, i couldn't really understand much or remember much of what he said...cos i'm just so happy that they are GONE! and he said it shouldn't be coming back! yippie!

Our Kite Flying Experience

yeah! finally found a spot at east coast where we can fly our kites!

only managed to take with the one which is nicer (rainbow!)

the other one was the cartoon all around one...

yq was good tying the strings to the kite

and i was GOOD at getting the kite flying in the sky!!! :)

seems like it was going to rain..but...

never kenna a single drop at east coast

up...UP...and Away~

this was the "not nicer looking" kite which got stuck at the top of the tree by yqkk

wahahhaha...mine gt stuck once too...but managed to get it off...hahaha

ok, after much tries...we decided to let it stay there as long as it wants...

we set off to the lil' jetty to watch ppl fish...

the worst part was that i had to pull it out from my thigh! argghhhhh!

i was pretty helpless and alone at home trying to find a plaster to stop the bleeding

(my home got no plaster!)

i was so scared that i called yq and was already crying half way thru the call becos it hurts and sad to see 2 holes on my thigh =(

i was really touched that he rushed down to me when i needed him the most!

he cleaned my wound (i didn't know i could use dettol) and cover with the plaster which his mum passed to him...

as most of you would know, i have a pair of monster-liked nephews who are now already in Pri1 and K2...

once, there was an occasion when we get to sit together and yq was telling them some hoo-hah events of his and he mentioned ".....blah blah...wah lan eh...."

i stared at him and told him that cannot say "wah lan" in front of the kids whose mind are like sponge (super absorbent)

then on the same occasion, i think yq said something like, "wah lau..."
and the both of them was like, "OOooorrrrr...cannot say wah lau, it's a bad word..." and pointing him with their shaking index finger...

and Max continued, "There are 5 "words" which we cannot say, the "D" word, the "F" word, the "I" word, the "S" word and the "W" word."
The point where he mentioned, "....the "F" word...", me and yq was giving each other "the look", we were curious but didn't dare to ask cos their father was there...

curiousity can really kill a cat u know...
in my mind i was thinking how would a pri 1 kid know about the "F" word which the adult world uses it in part and parcel of their daily life...

given the chance to ask him when the father wasn't around, i tried to figure the 5 "words" in front of him....

Me: ok, "D" is for "Dumb", "I" is for Idiot, "S" are for "Shit/Stupid", "W" for "Wah lau"...but what's for "F"?

yes! finally got my wisdom teeth (x2) extracted...on new year eve morning...

they have been killing me...even thou they do hurt now as well...

but no regrets! this time surgery was super fast...before i realised, both teeth was already removed...

the worst parts are the injections...as well as the moment when the numbness goes off, starting to feel the pain...

surprisingly, the NDC after surgery service are pretty good...the nurse actually called and asked whether i was allery to the medicine given and ask how am i...

yq has been accompanying me all these while...thanks dear!

thou he is in camp now...and i'm on mc for 5 days...waiting for the swell on the face to go off soon...
